ABOUT LAA DEE DAA

Music maker and DJ for the past 20 years; my influences come from a life spent dancing in fields to all manner of underground music
Growing up in the South West of England in the early 90s; 50 minutes from Bristol and 2 hours from London, there were plenty of opportunities to immerse himself in the growing movement of the underground electronic music scene.

SHOW | GOT TO DO THE DO

Saturdays @ 9.00PM (Monthly)
My monthly LAA DEE DAA Show is a mix of old and new electronic based music that gets my grip. Flavours from Brazil, Africa, America and the UK (and pretty much anywhere really). if it’s got a groove and makes you wanna move… its gets in
Some chat, some tracks and some blending of tunes, hopefully reminds you of going out out or even in in – whatever floats ya boat

BEARINGS JAMMED

LAA DEE DAA aka Bearings Jammed aka James

Inspiration for my own productions has come largely from these experiences, of feeling the music in a free and open setting (physically and emotionally) and from an eclectic mix of styles”. More recently his inspiration has come from the shift in technology, allowing anyone who has a computer to be able to make music and get it out there. “The fact that you don’t need a record company or a physical medium to let people hear your music on a huge scale nowadays, means that there are people making music with absolutely no limitations, which makes for an uncensored, albeit saturated, world of music makers, pushing the boundaries like never before and fuelling inspiration to us all”

Bassline driven, spatial, wonky Techno vibes are present in his productions which range from slo mo swanky techno to up-tempo robo-tek jams, always with an air of drama but destined for the dance floor. “My influences growing up came from a broad range of artists like Dave Clark, Photek, ils and Die and more recently artists like Magda, Hobo and Claude VonStroke and labels such as ‘Items and Things’, Minus and Dirtybird records.”
